Sugar has been on antibiotics 2x in the last 3 weeks. He should have been clear of ANY infection for his surgery today, but that was not the case. Dr. Negola --best vet in the country, in my humble opinion--said he had an infection UNDER his infected tonsils that the antibiotics hadn't taken care of. The only way to get him well is to take the tonsils out completely and neuter him due to his on-going multiple prostate infections. Glad we opted for the surgeries today. It was the right choice to make for Sugar's health.
He is drugged and sleeping in a kennel at Dr. Negola's. I will bring him home tomorrow. You will not see him as the demo dog for the rest of your class.
